PIPING LIVE!

It's the sound that says 'Scotland'.  And if you've ever fancied a blast on the bagpipes, come and join the party at Piping Live!, an exciting celebration of the great instrument taking place in Glasgow this summer.

Piping Live! presents an outstanding line-up of international artists and home grown talent.  Throughout the week, a diverse programme of events will showcase the vibrancy of piping music, with the worlds finest pipe bands and folk groups wowing audiences from across the globe.

 And if you really do fancy having a go, there are plenty of workshops to help you perfect your skills.

Must-see events include 'Pipe Idol', the search for the world's best young piper. And make sure you're in town for Saturday night's grand finale - The World Pipe Band Championships. Listen to hundreds of the world's finest bands battle it out for the title, then step into your dancing shoes for the after-party, featuring foot-stomping performances from some very special guests. It's the perfect way to round off a week that'll stay with you long after the music fades.
