Music lovers are in for a treat at Speyfest 2008 (27 July - 3 August 2008). Taking place in the village of Fochabers in the lovely Spey Valley, Speyfest is the North of Scotland's foremost Celtic festival and offers a wonderful weekend of high-quality traditional and modern music, concerts, late-night ceilidhs and Celtic rock featuring artists from Scotland, the USA, Canada and Australia. Highlights of this year's event are the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, whose unique modern spin on the traditional sounds of the pipes and drums will get toes a-tapping, and Salsa Celtica, a great Scottish salsa band that manages to combine Cuban and Scottish rhythms.
